Kelsey Lucerne

I am completing my doctoral research at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in Dr. Drew Kiraly's Laboratory of Translational Psychiatry. My thesis work focuses on the interaction between peripheral systems (such as the immune system, gut microbiome, and metabolome) and the brain in psychiatric disorders.

Outside of the laboratory, I strive to apply my training to make science accessible to the public and provide career resources to students under-represented in STEM fields.
